Helloooooooooooooo
Not sure if the old crowd are still around so much now or if this will get read but seems an excellent time to pull up 10 years of out of sample data ?
seems to me the period (somewhere around) 2010 - present have been ok for some with the vast majority of TF's out there (the big names) really just pissing in the wind ? i.e. asset gatherers rather than asset managers
Dunn and Mulvaney - the only 2 to have really made outsized returns and Mulvaney being the the only one really ? his CAGR of 13+% over that period is testimony to perhaps either :
a) he uses the same system as ever and has never changed it - that is effectively what he has done - im not proposing a question
b) his ability to sit through 50-65% draw downs whereas the others have a customer base that would disappear at the merest hint of 20%+ draw downs
Highlights for me have been Eckhart's move away from TF seeing him compound less that 1% over that period of time , and the majority of TF's compounding between -2 and 4% ...... been a good few years recently and it needed to be - needs to be a good few years ahead as well if most are to survive ?
