I am looking for some historical charts on various futures markets including treasuries, stock indexes, energy, metals, grains, etc.

I am looking for some historical charts going back into the 1970's and 1980's.

Primarily the daily charts, but also intraday data if it is available.

Also looking for some charts on various forex currency pairs, some of which are don't exist anymore such as the french franc, deutsche mark, etc.

Does anyone know where I can find those charts for free?

Or any place that offers them for a fee?

I would look at barchart.com. I don't think that it has DMark/French Franc, but it does have some fairly long-term charts if you tweak the settings enough. The continuous charts are NOT back-adjusted, so you will need to look at the "cash" contracts.
