Charting historical intraday data?

Post by blueberrycake »

Does anyone have any recommendations for charting software to plot historical intraday data from TickData(ascii file format)? In addition to the basic charting capabilities(w/ indicators) it would be really nice to have several chart windows at the same time so that a given day could be examined in different timeframes(1m, 3m, 15m, etc) at once, without switching back and forth.

I have been using AmiBroker and it seems decent. It gives you multiple views, handles intraday, handles the formats you are seeking, and what I like about it is that all the indicators come with code you can change.

Thanks for the Amibroker suggestion. I've been using it pretty extensively for a few months now, in conjunction with some of my custom software, and I've grown quite fond of it. I would definitely recommend it for the price.
