Databull/Yahoo Finance EOD Historical Data

Post by ts54638 »

I am a newbie to this forum and I am thinking of purchasing Databull http://www.databull.com/ in order to download EOD US Equities historical data for backtesting strategies. From what I can gather Databull uses Yahoo Finance data which in turn is derived from CSI. Does anybody have any experience (positive or negative) with using Databull and can anyone see any reason why the data from Yahoo Finance should not be trusted as far as cleanliness if it is being derived from a reputable source such as CSI.

Thanks,
Tony

Yahoo data is pretty reasonable ... I don't see why you shouldn't use it for strategy development and there are free yahoo downloaders on the net to get the data for you (google yahoo downloader).
