Trading Blox purchase?

Hello,

I’m considering purchasing Trading Blox. I’ve downloaded and started exploring the trial version. It appears to be a good fit for what I’m looking for. I understand there is a Trading Blox customer / user forum which is hidden from non-customers. I’d like some input from current users of Trading Blox.

Does the company fix bugs / problems reasonably quickly?

How open and responsive is the company to user suggestions for enhancements?

About how often has the company released new / enhanced versions?

Thanks,

Perry

Hi Perry,

Yes - Better than any other trading product that I've used over the last 21-years. More importantly, the person who is writing the software and fixing any discovered issues is a trader who has a history of successful trading software development. Just image not having to generate a “Dog & Ponyâ€

Perry,

This is among the, if not the finest backtesting platform available. The product and the international collection of users on the forum have been valuable beyond words. Best wishes and... Come on in, the waters fine!

I have found Trading Blox and the ideas put forth by other traders on this Forum the greatest contributor by far to my understanding of trading in general and mechanical systems in particular. And I have been involved in markets for many years. TB has certainly provided me with better value and better understanding than any trading book I have read.

The ability to experiment almost without limit and the necessity to puzzle, often for months at a time, over how to code a particular trading idea or system have been of enormous benefit to me.

I once read that traders should not expect instant success or understanding and that trading was a profession which, like any other, takes a number of years to learn. Trading Blox is, to my way of thinking, the ideal tool to accompany you on such a journey which you may find, as I have done, does not actually have an end. Rather, it seems to be a continual process.

And my answers to your questions are as follows: yes, very and often.

Hi Perry,

I am a relatively new user to Trading Blox Pro and saw your post. I must say that I have been using both Blox Pro and the Forum with compete satisfaction. If you have been around the plethora of trading products you will quickly discover an appreciation for the exceptional; the forum contributors and the team at Blox are both in my humble opinion.

I have used the resources of the forum for some time and must say with some guilt I have never contributed. I often find the depth of knowledge almost intimidating, but always very generous and informative- one of the best resources on the web.

Regarding your questions:
1. Could not comment although I see a very active section in the forum with regards to bugs that tells me when a bug is discovered that it is handled promptly. In addition I might add I have not yet found a bug.
2. Again I would refer you to the forum on this as well, just take a look at the section called “Features Requestâ€

Hi Perry

Two years, I was looking for a platform which has a robust approach on backtesting. After studying the products on the market, I used the free trial of TBB and decided to buy the builder version. I am not a programer or mathematician genius but the coding of TBB is quiet easy to understand.
After just few weeks, with very simple lines of codes you can get great things. If you begin to dig deeper you can code complex ideas.

On the forum you can have as well a look on others blox who nicely decided to share it to give you an idea how to got strategy. And if you are stuck, you are not alone in front of your computer and can ask for help on the customer forum.

The answers are quick. Not only the administrators are helpful but also some members such as Sluggo, Roger Rines who wrote you a comment above, are very nice to give you an answer and help you out of your problem (personel experience few weeks ago with the coding of a weekly ema...)

My advice : get the builder version.
and welcome.

Regards

Gad

Thanks

Go to this page: Contact Tim and send him an email letting him know you have an interest in a demo ride.

Once you do that, instructions on how to take Trading Blox out for a spin will follow by return email.

I bought Blox Builder not two months ago, and I already feel like it has been worth the money. Using Blox and interacting with the other members on this forum is incredibly rewarding. And addictive.
