On Heuristics

Post by rabidric »

For the last few years this field has been one of my favourite areas for inspiration w.r.t. trading rule creation and logic structuring. I strongly recommended a book about it a few years ago on this forum but the post went largely unnoticed I think. Here is a pdf which is a broad brush overview for you to see if this is an area of interest to you.

edit: and here is a link to another pdf which is a little more human focussed in it's scope.

edit2: and this one which is the most technically relevant I think. <-Start with this one if you want to get straight to the nuts and bolts.

All 3 overlap a fair bit, but all 3 are worth the time.

I would be most interested in discussing research in this field in relation to trading logic should anyone feel like immersing themselves in it too.
