That is their target time -- it varies from day to day -- some days early, some days late, occasionally very late. To automate the process -- (1) Set CSI 's EZ Downloader to "wait for everything traded" then download. (2) Set CSI's "UA Preferences / Distibution 2" to run your scr...

I recall Amibroker had a free data updating program -- you might look at that. Many here use CSI data (not free) which can be automated with Task Scheduler. CSI can kick off a process when it's finished updating -- this is where you'd run TB and generate orders. Add email/texting when all is done (f...

I'd check (1) the file name (2) the data layout & (3) Preferences. From the latest User's Guide p.120 -- (1) Stocks: The stock files must be named SYMBOL.TXT or SYMBOL.CSV where SYMBOL is the symbol of the stock. For example, a file name for AAPL needs to be AAPL.CSV or AAPL.TXT and the file nam...

Thanks, Pierre.

A potential fix would be to have CSI add "Wait for Everything Downloaded" functionality to EZ Downloader and run EZ Downloader as a scheduled task.

I've made this request to CSI.

Rudi at CSI gave a good reply to my request for EZ Downloader to "Wait for Everything Traded":

"We (w)ill work this into a future upgrade."

I've set it in UA and that works (UA waits for everything traded) but EZ downloader still goes right away (doesn't wait). CSI replied: "Sorry it only will work when using the main UA menu." I have asked CSI for that feature to be added to EZ Downloader: 'Could you put in a feature request ...

I have EZ Downloader as a scheduled task but it starts right away.

Has anyone gotten EZ Downloader to "Wait for Everything Traded"?

I've got an email into CSI support asking about this -- thought I'd check here, too.

Definitely.

Accenture opening the day in $40 range, trading down $5 & then a penny and then back is the epitome of an extreme event.

Execute my plan to get smaller.

Perhaps you could do it in thirds.

1st third often hurts because it's right after a big event and big loss.

2nd third feels better, more rational, a continuing move in the right direction.

After the last 3rd I can look back and figure out how to do better.

How to Do a Daily ZIP of Blocks, Suites & Systems.

As part of my daily update, I have UA kick off a .BAT file that invokes TB -- see screenshot, below. And, as a part of that, I ZIP up my blocks, suites & systems (BSSes) with a called batch file like the following: pkzip -add=u -path=full !%yymmdd% "blox\*.*" pkzip -add=u -path=full !%...

Send CSI Data Corrections to database@csidata.com

It's taken me a few emails to find out that you send CSI data error questions to:

database@csidata.com

I've been sending them to other CSI addresses and not always getting a response.

Happy Thanksgiving to all USA posters & warm regards to everyone else.

How Do You Push A Good Holding Out to Make Room for Better?

Anyone have suggestions on how they push a merely "OK" holding out of a portfolio to make room for what seems to be a much better one?
