I think a lot of people have attempted this. When you're right, you'll keep doing it. When it costs you a lot of money, you might stop for awhile.

That may be the case with IB's product offerings, but that is not the case with the FCM's that we work with. We can provide access to just about all global markets except Russia, India, and China. Korea is on hold at the moment with a couple other obscure ones since the MF Global bankruptcy, but we ...

Most of us trade global markets with daily bar data. We place orders once or twice a day after the data has processed.

I saw this notice from Newedge as well, however MF Global apparently doesn't have the same policy at the moment. I just rolled some short CAC40 and IBEX35 to September.

I think they're worth trading. Slippage might be a little greater, and spreads are bit wider but you shouldn't have any problem moving in and out of these markets. The added diversification is worth it.

I trade both markets actively. I use date adjusted roll settings as well as open interest roll settings and both seem to work just fine.

BR_ issue returned, for whatever reason. CSI says:

Dear Sir,

a new build is released to fix the issue.
Please use the link below and upgrade to build 117.

If your BR_ contract is reporting 201512, you might want to upgrade.

I would agree that the data looks like it should now. If you upgraded to .116 or .116b You might want to check your Milk files to make sure th...

Margins on index options went up substantially after the October 1997 market crash. Prior to 1997 margins for index options were a fraction of what they are today. After that event, the CME realized the theoretical risk and raised margins substantially. Nearly all index option writers are running at...

Some comments from our trading desk...

"Talk circulating in the Sugar market that the March sugar contract ran through 34.20 and touched off a 5,500 lot sell stop. This caused the market to fall down to 32.05 in a few seconds. No one ever said commodity trading is for the faint of heart!"
