Re: Can Google Predict the Markets?

I started to wonder if there might be a correlation between search term popularity and market moves. Dean, It sounds like you are trying to measure the ‘Mind’(*) of the market, that is what the market is thinking or more correctly what people in the market are thinking (Note that this is differ...

Yes, but is share price the optimal measurement by which we gauge the risk of the institution, or do we use how their debt (bonds) are trading? I suppose the theory is that today’s share price will (ideally) discount events that have yet to happen or are in the process of happening. Enron, AIG, L...

I think you are correct.
For the Dec 2011 Contract, I see a low price of 1.57160 using non-CSI data. Perhaps this is specific to CSI ?
Perhaps a friendly email to CSI could help

The 'Non-Essentials' (a.k.a. things you shouldn't do)

1) Cut your Winners
2) Ride your losses
3) Disregard risk
4) Don’t use stops
5) Buck your system
6) Follow the news

And lastly,

7) DO NOT deep fry a turkey whilst naked. (applies to all traders as well as everyone else)
