Cpa firms / bAck office
Thanks for the reply. we are not cta's nor do we care to be.
we're establishing a small hedge fund. we started with 1mm of pooled money two years ago and now the fund has grown to 4mm (trading stocks).
this is not a misprint.
we now require retaining a cpa firm to produce our track tables and do our auditing / back office as we execute many trades.
we have not applied the methodology to commodities yet but our algos only work in north american markets. we tried trading some of the asian markets but without success. our greatest challenge lies ahead as the fund grows in size. the true test is whether we can sustain the same results or even earn 100% on the money per anum with say 100mm
we will of course report our results in due course to hedgefund.net or whichever equivalent.
any further comments would be greatly appreciated.
we will also require hiring a few traders.

Go to some hedge fund conferences & tradeshows. Talk to the people manning the booths. Pick up the free copies of trade journal magazines. Talk to the editors and publishers of the magazines, find out their list of top firms. Talk to the other attendees, ask them "Which accounting firms made it to your short-list?" (thus obtaining five times the number of leads as if you had asked "which firm did you eventually choose?")
