Update CSI data without overwriting files?

Post by LeviF »

I accidentally overwrote my old files which have more than 10 yrs of data. My CSI subscription is only for 10 yrs of data. I have some backup files that havent been updated for a few months. How can I get UA to fill in the gaps without overwriting the files again? I run a re-download and all I get is yesterdays updates. I know if I run a complete download it will overwrite all my old files again.

Sounds like a question for CSI.

My answer would be "can't be done"

i understand that this doesn't help now, but ...

i took up sluggo's suggestion and as part of my daily update, i make a zip file of all the new data and save it with the current date as part of the name.

even if i only did this once a month, i'd have my back data.

also helps debug when splits happen.
