Options Broker..

Post by KBAM »

Used to work for an options firm..
We charged 195$ per option RT..
Now that I am out of the option broker biz, I wonder how fair this is..
Any comments?

Sounds like you wore a boiler suit to work...

Actually was very legit place to work..
Just a weak trader, aggressive selling, although it was by the book and never broke any rules...
The question is, again, do you think charging that kind of commission is fair?
Obviously, if you are making money, it's OK....
BUt when you are losing all the time, it just doesn't seem right, right?

It sounds like you've probably answered your own question. I think what you should probably be considering is whether or not it represents good value. What service did your clients receive?

well for your consideration, i pay at Daniels Trading 40$ RT for options and i am not happy with that. you can compare to what you used to charge  see when you pay 195$ for 30$ sugar option i don't think it is fair at all, and it's very hard to profit short term from option trading with such commission rate
