Data Providers For European Stocks

Post by TM »

I currently use CSI including London Stocks. Works great.

However, I want to add European stocks, starting off with Germany (Frankfurt and Stuttgart exchanges)
which CSI do not offer.

Are there any data providers that offer this AND is compatible with/exports info to the TB stockinfo.txt file?
This includes the currency that the stock trades in so correct currency conversions can be done by TB.
(Found out the hard way stocks can trade in a different currency than the local currency of the exchange
which can really mess up position sizes.)

I have come across http://www.justdata.com.au which provides pretty much every exchange in the world but
does NOT provide the currency that the stock trades in.

I asked CSI some time ago why their European stocks coverage was lacking. They responded saying that no-one had requested it. Well now there's at least two of us.

For all their faults, CSI have always been good at adding new futures markets on Eurex and other non-U.S. exchanges - but only when prompted. If you haven't already, I would suggest contacting them as your first step.

I shall contact them again. That would be the best solution.
