I'm from Brazil and I'm considering opening an account with IB. But I'm in doubt about margin requirements as I'm not used to it in Brazil. Follows the email I sent to IB. Could someone help me?

About the costs of trading with IB. In the example given in the email, what would be the total cost (commissions, exchange rate, etc) for the given trades.

In IB’s web page it’s Said that “In order to open an account or to open new positions in an account, you must have the following minimum account equity (cash and securities)â€

About interest? Will I have to pay interest to IB relating to my position?

Thanks for your reply. I'll follow your suggestion and try finding more info on both links you mentioned.

My major problem is that I'm not used to margin accounts and its requirements.
