Round Lots - US markets

Post by AFJ Garner » Mon May 12, 2014 4:09 pm

Are most people testing and or trading in round or odd lots in the US? Obviously much trading in Google is in odd lots but...

Are people using 100 or 1 as a round lot in testing? How are odd lot fills these days in reality?

I have been trading odd lots of reasonably liquid U.S. stocks at IB, for the last couple of years. Maybe only 300 trades, small quantities.
In 99 percent of cases the fills have been very good. There have been a few poor fills, mostly because the market has jumped over my stop order.
