Does anybody trade cny based futures?
If yes, who is the broker?
Thank you

There aren't any CNY denominated futures which are approved by the CFTC (US regulatory agency), so the big US traders mostly avoid them, so the brokers who cater to US clients don't offer them. Also I imagine it's a lot harder to wire money out of China than to wire money out of other countries.

Somebody is trading them very hard.
But it is ok, some less problems to stick with.

Hi Marriott

Yes, liquidity is very very high, BUT check how much a big point is worth after dollar conversion. Compare dollar converted ATR to you round turn cost. Unless you have a broker who executes in CNY markets directly, costs / daily opportunity seem way out of line.

If you do know such a broker (don't care if US or not) kindly let me know.

Thank you,
L

According to this, Newedge is or will soon be providing access to Chinese exchanges.

Hi Bollinger,

Thank you for posting.
Interesting.

Does Newedge offer accounts to private traders?
Anyone using them?

That isn't the question you really want to ask. The question you really want to ask, is answered in a post you can find here on the Trader's Roundtable.

Newedge turned us down as new fund last year with >10 Mill AUM - so i VM doubt you can trade as a private customer with them - they DONT like TF's because of low volumes so they look only at their own abilityu to raise you money as a way of making money out of you as a potential client as they wont make much on commissions etc - having met their capital intr team and knowing what the World of cap intro is like at places lke Newedge I would recommend chewing off your own arm at the same time as tightening your nuts in a vice for a much more pleasurable experience

there are of course other bigger risks with Newedge and they are real - but I'll let someone else work out what they are
