RE: Trading Hours for Tokyo Grains, Metals and Energies

Earlier in the month, the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) modified the trading hours for their Metals and Energy products (Aluminum, Crude Oil, Gasoline, Gold, Kerosene, Palladium, Platinum, Rubber and Silver). The current trading hours for the above TOCOM products are setup where these products trade over two sessions. The first session, which the Exchange considers their Day Session, trades from 7:00pm to 1:30am CDT. The second session, which the Exchange considers their Night Session, re-opens at 3:00am and closes at 9:00am CDT. **TOCOM Rubber closes at 5:00am instead of 9:00am CDT.

**It is important to note that all orders called into the Global Execution Desk will work both sessions unless directed otherwise. This includes all orders entered on the MTrade and Express trading platforms.
The trading hours for the Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE) where they trade such products as Arabica Coffee, Azuki Red Beans, Corn, Non-GMO Soybeans, Raw Silk, Raw Sugar, Robusta Coffee and Soybeans continues to be 7:00pm to 2:00am CDT all under one session.

Thanks for the heads-up, Shane. The good news for those who trade TOCOM products using "market on the open of the day session" (MOODS) orders, is that the open time hasn't changed. It's still 9:00AM Japan Standard Time, which is 7:00PM Central Daylight Time and/or 6:00PM Central Standard Time.
