What is your opinion of using Neural Networks in the investment process?

Are they usabable or are they "curve fitting" tools?

What do you think?

I am using tools I've developed with my friend, he's a programer.. I could give you lines only, but that'd be boring.. I don't know if it'll be true or false, we'll just have to see..

How many neurons in your network. What type of pre processing and indicators to allow such a time based forecast?

We run it on 80 years of data, I don't know other details since I don't know technical stuff
