Anyone has traded the CME Chinese RMB Futures?

Post by TrendsCatcher »

Anyone here has traded the Chinese RMB futures? The Chinese currency (RMB) is appreciating steadily, I am thinking of going long the RMB futures, but the liquidity of these contracts bother me a great deal, the move of the underlying might not be able to cover the bid/ask spread. Anybody here has any experience/thoughts?

Looked at these a while back.
Zero volume.
Broker advised against it.

I've looked at this market a few times over the years. I've never found (surprisingly) any volume behind the market at all.

Today, for example, the market has a whopping 6 lots traded with open interest of 1159 (in the June contract).....

The easy way to trade this market is to do an EFP (Exchange for physical). Then you can buy 10,100 or more contracts without moving the price from the exchange.
