Style and appearance seem to have always played a role in our view of things. And also in how we value things.

My father bought shares when Microsoft did the IPO. He thought they were doing something really different, which matches their looks. Who knew?

GROOVY and WOODSTOCK come to mind ..

I guess my father likes people who look that way. I'm surrounded at work by people who look like that - maybe even worse-looking. But I don't hold it against anyone~ :D

That would have depended on the story they had to tell (or sell). Why judge them by their admittedly rather naff looks? After all, the Enron / Worldcom / Ahold executives looked much better but behaved far worse.
