Re: Take a look at www.pmkingtrading.com
Thanks Paul, Do your systems have a trackrcord? Cheers, Tom Tom, Please take a look at www.pmkingtrading.com. I have a intra-day futures trading system called ModeX in the Strategies section. This system is a TradeStation system (but could be adapted to other platforms) and can be applied to any fu...

I have just given instruction to transfer out my T Bills. I have decided to leave cash and open positions there until the waters settle. T Bills form 2/3 of my a/c so at least if I DO get delivery of those, it is not a complete disaster. I have of course phoned Refco but as per their press statemen...
Re: Refco
Anyone feeling as uncomfortable as I am? Segregated funds, perfomance bonds with the exchanges, FDIC insurance up to $100,000......................................but. I am sure there are lots of people who feel the same way as you do. :( 1 year ago, I had a due diligence session with REFCO and Man...

My system works well on equity indices as well as commodities and other futures, and I'm fairly long-term (in my opinion). I trade each market 0 to 5 times a year, 5 being on the high side (whipped), the average is 1 trade per year. GR :P I agree with Ghostrider. I also test the equity index future...

Re: Just short the E-Mini NASDAQ instead?
Why not? In a Bear Market, why hunt for short candidates when you can short the E-Mini NASDAQ futures and arguably (if you are right on your call) make more money anyway. Beats screening 10,000 stocks if you ask me comments? do you do a historical test on that and verify that is true? is the invers...

Re: Stop Order Acceptance
We ran into an issue where a user reported that some of the stop orders as generated by VeriTrader couldn't be accepted directly by their broker. In particular, the broker rejected trades where the close had already penetrated the stop. For example, let's say you are long Crude and want to place yo...

The CBOT has the spirit of Christmas in them. Or, they like the Amazon and Overstock.com business models. Or maybe both~
This is the first time I see a financial exchange sale. Anyone see one before?

Re: Another Look at portfolio construction
But what we do know is twofold .. the more markets you are in the more likely you are to catch a trend and the more markets you are in the bigger your drawdown is likely to be .. its an interesting tradeoff .. Chris "We" do know that for sure? I do not know. Drawdown (in the most basic fo...

I agree with you Jake: it is no guarantee of course that this is the beginning. What happens if most fund managers get halfway back to their high watermark, then go straight back down to their historical drawdown levels, and stay around that level for another year? That might surprise a lot of peopl...

continuously linked futures data sources
Hi Everyone, Besides Pinnacle Data, where can I subscribe to continuously-linked futures contracts with EOD updates? Most of the vendors charge in the 400-1500 USD per month range, so I'm looking for something cheaper. Pinnacle is 12/month and although the roll dates are fixed, at least it's good en...
