If anyone is interested in working with me, I am trying to code Darvas into TBB (so far, I am stuck).

I have it coded into Tradestation, and it works (but can't portfolio test of course).

PM me your e-mail address, and we can communicate direct.

Amibroker did the Guppy version of Darvas--they wrote code for it in the June 2005 issue of S&C

Also see April 2005 for background.

Kevin

Thank you for brining it to my attention. I have looked at smart quant in the past. I may look at it, but doubt I will use it. They put some limitations on code distribution. I need to be able to send my software to my trader friends and mentors for testing purposes. Or, I may write software as a co...

One thing that bugs me, is why most of those tests are always somehow flawed, either in big or little ways. For example, the test at HumanMetrics asks many questions whose answer cannot be the binary choice that is offered: - You rapidly get involved in social life at a new workplace. Answers: no, ...

How do I vote?

I am a "cross type" I score equally as a INFP, or INTP. So, I am an INXP.

I have scored this way since I was 18. How should I answer the poll?

After purchasing many VB.net books, (and looking through some at the bookstore), I have found 2 of the best books for beginners like me. They are college texts, but start with the basics. BTW, if you are beginner, consider purchasing a book on algorithm design/software design, in general, and not la...

Verec, You have an excellent point about not writing to the files as often as a regular business application might do with a DB. I think I should explore all options. However, I do like the simplicity of using text files. Yes, KISS (Keep it simple, stupid), is a good way to go. Forum Mgmnt, maybe we...

Forum Mgmnt, running a speed test:A good idea. THen I can put this issue to rest. I think I will test your BLOB idea as well, That might be a good compromise. I will post my results when I have them. I'd put references to the data or perhaps place the data into BLOB columns but you'll be sorry if yo...

VB.net Programming and Custom Software design

I was wondering if anyone out there, like me, is learning (or already knows) VB.net ? If so, would anyone be interested in sharing code, software design, Class Libraries of indicators, functions, backtesting engine pieces, etc. ? I had in mind, starting a forum for those of us that wish to code from...

Synthetic instruments, based on indicators

I do not know where to put this topic. If another moderator has a better place, please move this topic. Someone in Tharp's forum has an interesting idea. Please take a look and see if this is even possible. I am not sure how this could work. http://mastermindforum.com/phorum/read.php?f=9&i=6044&...

Forum Mgmnt, I also use CSI. Would you mind e-mailing me your dictionary file, or posting it here?

Thanks!

I am learning VB.net, I bought some C++ books, but haven't really cracked them open. kind of depends on where you are at now.
