Barli,

I use IB (Interactive Bokers) and a couple of others. IB take any size account and charge $5 rt without a size restriction, this goes down substantially if you have high monthly totals.

BTW: I have no connection with IB, its just an example of what's out there.

Depends if the pit trader works for the broker or they use another company/local to fill the paper. Many brokers even big ones use other companies who specialise in certain contracts. Who do you use? As AFJ says you are overpaying, you should be able to get around $5 rt regardless of size and a lot ...

AFJ, From my experience its good to execute your own orders, especially now most of them are screen traded. Whereas in the old days the floor traders would be almost guaranteed to fill your sell orders at the bottom and buy orders at the top of the opening range, probably to one of their mates (shoc...

From what you've said I think you'll find using TBB will take you in a new positive direction in terms of programming and testing. I wish you all the best.

Mike, I think the black box systems you want to incorporate are probably just versions of the ones that are in TBB anyway, except that they are fixed. In my view, after looking at various BB systems in the past, I now have the ability to create my own systems and tweak, test, love or hate them as I ...

TBB will enable you to test multiple parameter settings over multiple timeframes for any of the built in systems, or ones that you program yourself. You'll then be able to see what has worked consistently well and see if it fits in with your idea of a good system.

Mike,

Ditto the above, you'll find TBB stable and very easy to use. You can back test an amazing amount of different system combinations.

Keep testing, there are some excellent systems within TBB. I'm quite certain that they can all be tweaked (not curve fitted) to give good multi timeframe results.

2005 was a good year from what I can see.
