Thank you Turtle40, it is not exactly what I desired but thats ok. Jack Schwager teaches (I re-read his TA book) that it is probably better to be aware of the high/low/trade range for that day, as it can provide important information.

So I am sticking to my regular old OHLC charts

Close Only Charts?

Hello

Can anyone point me in the direction where I can locate "Close Price Only" charts for futures?

I currently use Futures Source for my charts and they do not appear to offer these charts.

Thank You

I am biased its going to 500 cents and then sells off, but we'll see yes, and i like it. your prediction is gutsy. in general: this structure means up this much. that structure means no more. but never this structure means up this much and no more. i like to see wheat lock l...

OK good, thanks. I was unable to find that online or with my charts that I use. I wonder how short he was also. Long T-Bonds and short SP futures maybe. His partner, Peter Borish, "called' the crash, but anyone can buy William O'Neils books, written for the average investor, and O'Neil also saw the ...

Paul Tudor Jones and 1987 crash

I re-read Market Wizards for the 88th time and observed that Paul Tudor Jones claimed to have gone big T-Bonds when he and Peter Borish "saw" the coming 1987 stock market crash. However, unless I am missing something, a check of historical T-Bond charts for 1987-1988 do not show any huge uptrends, i...

Stan I use a 10/20 EMA cross for both long and short, coupled with breakout from a trading range. For example, Copper is in a trading range and I would not execute a trade based on 10/20 EMA cross right now, not until it breaks out from consolidation. I also prefer to have some fundamentals to suppo...

LB is a strong short under almost any sort of system swing, medium-term trend-following, long-term trend-following, etc. It may be a bit oversold to initiate a new position for some of the shorter-term systems but I don't know of any where you'd exit after Friday's performance except for a profit t...

bill, you seem to be entering the trade when everybody is already getting out of it, make some research on Lumber's seasonal tendancies(on 20 years data at least), it usually rallies from October untill April ( cos folks start buying during the winter season to heat their homes, and building houses...

billpritjr, hope you recouped some of your losses by shorting TYZ06 on Monday's close and exiting the position on today's close  well that time frame is too short for me. I am more of a multi-week to month trader, relying on EMA's to time entry and exit. But if it worked for you, great! Short...

billpritjr, why trade only one market? What about energies, metals, grains? I am also short Lumber right now, made some $$$ on it, both the chart and the fundamentals (housing bubble, interest rate hikes, increased foreclosures, etc) put me in Lumber. Waiting on OPEC sanctions on Iran, that plus th...
