Re: Any trendfollowers

There's some great trends in select markets right now, but bigger sector reversals have been the challenge this year. Trend following has never been easy though, it's just one maddening cycle after another. Gotta love it.

Re: Any trendfollowers

Trend following might not make money every year, but it's one of the best strategies that I've found for extracting profits out of the markets. PM if you have some other strategies to share. I'm interested.

Re: Any trendfollowers

It's hard to get excited about a strategy with only 1 good year out of the last 5. Probably why this forum has been so quiet lately. But, I suspect better markets are coming.

SAFEX Soybeans

A note on SAFEX Soybeans from the exchange: Please note that we changed the Soybean contract from a 25ton to a 50 ton contract. To accommodate this in our systems we had to rename the 25ton contract to MSOY which will only be listed until FEB14. The 50ton SOYA contract will then be running from MAR1...

A lot of markets are cash settled these days. If you are trading in a market that is cash settled, it's possible to Buy or Sell the next contract month to continue your trade without an extra transaction fee or rollover. You could do this on the same day as expiration, or the day after expiration. I...
